Midtown Exchange - Revitalizing the City
Amano McGann Minneapolis was recently awarded the parking control system contract for the new Midtown Exchange project in Minneapolis. This 18-lane project includes automated ticket dispensers, proximity card readers (integrated with building access system), automated hotel system with magstripe cardreaders (read hotel key cards), automated pay-on-foot stations, access control gates, over 100 parking meters, extensive Amano McGann software, and exit lane credit card paystations. The campus is made up of a large parking garage, three controlled parking lots, and three metered parking areas.
The former site of an early 1900's Sears retail store, the building is being heavily updated to become the "Allina Commons" - housing Allina Health Care. Additional site features include residential and commercial buildings, townhomes, a hotel, and a transportation hub. It is also located along the constantly growing Gateway trail system, which provides pedestrian access (walking/running/biking) trails throughout the city.
